Vanessa Bennett

Wake up. No time to faff around. Exercise. Get ready. Go to work. Get an irritatingly incomplete portion of your to-do list done.

Have some lunch. Shoot the breeze for a bit. Get some more work done. Pack up.

Go home. Get dinner sorted. Clean. Reset. Relax. Bed.

Rinse.

Repeat.

Our lives are a repeating cycle of habits, behaviours, choices and obligations. And, for many of us, we keep pounding out the miles, inching ahead and building a better life – for ourselves and our families.

There’s a deep, meaningful value in that.

But it can also be hard as hell.

Now, what if there were some – relatively straightforward – ways for you to make that journey a little bit easier? Make that hill a little less steep?

Well – this is what I realized in a conversation Nathan and I had with Vanessa Bennett, of Next Evolution Performance.

There are things you can do – simple things, where the only requirement is taking the time to reflect on what you want and need.

Vanessa explained a few areas she thinks people could target to take their performance up a notch or two:

-          An elementary awareness of neuroscience and how it shapes you, your day and your performance.

-          Kicking multi-tasking to the curb, and learning what Constant Partial Attention is.

-          The vital, critical, powerful impact of clarity in your life and your career – and why ambiguity is corroding your business from the inside.

Vanessa’s firm – Next Evolution Performance – has helped a broad range of people define the life they want, the performance they need to achieve that, and what’s getting in their way.

Highly recommend the episode and, if you’d like to find out more, reaching out to Vanessa via any of the following links.
