June 2025
June’s always a big month for financial advisers, which makes our commitment to doing all this other stuff seem just a little more bonkers than usual.
But, we love doing it, it’s fun and it gets our names out there - so that’s good, right…! Also, being the first issue, we’ve gone back a little further than just June.
Here are some of things we’ve been doing lately:
Podcasts
Weaving Gold
We’re very proud of our new podcast, Weaving Gold .
Nathan had the idea of creating a resource for the people we love to work with, that helps answer their questions around retirement, divorce, disability, death, aged care and everything in between. From the perspective of two independent financial advisers, with lots of experience helping that group of people traditionally ignored by financial advice.
A twice-weekly podcast about retiring well, aged care and navigating life’s big transitions. And doing it with intention, clarity and certainty. We’re 14 episodes in, as of writing. 14 episodes of short, sharp information to help the people we work with every day untangle the threads of their financial world (and questions).
This month we’ve covered:
How to Navigate Parents Moving In The Percentage Split in Divorce
The Four Dimensions of Wealth Aged Care for Low Means
What’s Included in Your Will Helping Your Kids Without Hurting Your Retirement
Understanding Divorce in Australia Being a Power of Attorney
Challenge the Standard
Our way of giving back to the advice profession, and possibly the nichest podcast going around, this one is purely for other financial advisers. We go nerdy, we go broad and we talk about things that - really - only other advisers are going to care about.
This last month we’ve just about wrapped our series on Ongoing Advice, with great guests and an unfortunate number of Goofy-related prods. We’ve released these episodes in June:
Providing Value with Thabojan Rasiah Ethical Dilemmas in Ongoing Advice
Designing the Review Client Experience with Michael Back (Friday, 27th June)
