July 2025

A relatively quiet one, this month.

The end of financial year rush is over, but we’ve kept busy helping our clients all the way through. As a sidenote - for anybody on the fence about focusing their practice in a particular niche, just do it. We’re big advocates of it, because it makes everything better.

Everything!

Anyway, here’s some stuff we’ve been up to.

Podcasts

Weaving Gold

We’re really enjoying producing this new podcast. Designed specifically for the people we love to work with, being able to provide this kind of short, sharp, useful information on a regular basis is really wonderful.

We have a stack of episodes coming up too. And feel free to share them with anybody you think would benefit from listening. We’ve had some really lovely feedback from people we know sharing particular eps with some clients - how great’s that!

Some recent episodes:

Aged Care Changes - Part 1 Painting Your Ideal Retirement

Don’t Leave Your Super To Your Ex Reduce Capital Gains Using Your Super

Challenge the Standard

Our tagline for this podcast is ‘The Podcast For Advisers, By Advisers’, and we think that really sums up this hyper-niche thing we’ve built. It really is only going to interest other financial advisers, but coming up on 12,000 listens across 70-odd episdoes, we’re really proud of it.

This month’s ranting and raving has included:

Duration Discounts with Phil Thompson* Aged Care Changes

CSLR Update with Keith Ford When Is a Client, A Client?

* We challenge you to find a topic more niche than this!
